When did you start at T6P?

I interned at T6P at the beginning of 2022, and was hired as a performance coach afterwards.

What is your role..

Senior Performance and Rehab Coach, and Online Coach

Favorite memory/memories at T6P?

My favorite coaching moments are experiencing clients overcoming barriers within themself to training - whether its milestones in long term rehabilitation back to sport, fears of certain movements, belief of their own abilities.

What are your coaching areas of interest?

I love all things return to performance rehabilitation (sport, everyday living), women's health, long term athlete development and working with individuals wellbeing as a whole!

What client population groups do you work with?

I work with athletes from high-level, to those just wanting to feel like they can move better. From youth to older adults, and anyone in between.

Qualifications:

  • Current Masters of Exercise Physiology: ACU

  • Bachelor Exercise Sports Science: Deakin

Other Coaching Jobs

  • Casey VFLW: Rehab Coordinator

  • Inner Athlete: Performance Coach

  • Previously Coburg: Head of S&C/Rehab Coordinator

Outside work hobbies

My favourite thing to do - coffee & walk catch ups with my friends in pretty places. I love to train (shock), am currently in my running era (amongst the rest of the population). As well as music, I’m a big foodie and bookworm when I make the time.

Greatest sporting/physical achievement/memory

East Brighton premiership 2023!! After a year and a half off sport after a back injury, I was fearful of movement. Took me a long while to lift without fear, and then run, and then actually kick a footy (something that previously aggravated my injury, and a movement I was avoidant of). Finishing my first year back by winning the premiership with some of my best friends, unbeatable. My chronic pain experience shaping me as a coach for the better.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL - ANGUS GRANT

When did you start training at T6P?

I started training at the sixth principle in 2020 during covid and through the speed project. I really took a liking to the consistency but new athletic based exercises that were going to help me long term. I knew Jarrad Kay through my local football club, and was a great comfort coming in knowing I already knew a few boys who are at the club.

What successes did you have from training at T6P?

Some successes I have had over the last few years is able to smash new pbs every offseason as well as bulletproofing my body for football. I can say I have not had a soft tissue or long term injury since training at the sixth mainly through consistency but also the type of exercises catered for my sport. My coach Zoe has made it incredibly easy to discuss what would work best for me but also to have a bit of fun with it. If anything ever felt off or I had a niggle, there was an easy communication process to suggest an alternative and adjust. I only joined the gym being a local football player and have since been on a list at Sandringham dragons, and Frankston Dolphins. Going from a fringe player over the last two years now being an important player in the team.

Would you recommend us?

Of course I would recommend the sixth not only for the programming but more so for the relationships I have built over the years. I’ve always thought going to the gym as 2 birds one stone. Get to see my friends and also exercise at the same time. Both and really healthy habits I have found so much comfort in going to the gym.
